花市灯如昼，元宵庆开学

2月19日是中国节气中的雨水，也是春节年俗中最后一个重要节令——元宵节。同时，安静了一个寒假的校园顿时热闹起来，因为孩子们又回到了校园啦。

February 19th is known as “Rain Water” in the 24 solar terms, and it is also the last important festival during Chinese Lunar Year called the Lantern Festival. At the same time, the quietness of the campus in the winter vacation suddenly came alive with joyful laughter, because the children came back.

走进教学大楼，寻找着元宵节的味道，扯出字丽墨香：只见走廊里张贴着孩子们书写的对联。教室内外或摆或挂着各式各样造型奇特的灯笼，走廊里还挂满了各种类型的谜语，窗户上贴着孩子们用巧手剪出的窗花……好不热闹！

Walking into the classroom buildings, you could feel the atmosphere of the Lantern Festival in the hallways, as the creative calligraphy writing，and the couplets written by the children were beautifully displayed. Many different styles of lanterns were beautifully displayed inside and outside each classroom. A variety of riddles to celebrate the Lantern Festival were displayed in the hallways too. Each window was covered decorative paper cutting done by the children. A lovely sight!

新学期第一节课上，孩子们分享了自己的假期生活，同时，还制定了本学期的Goal Planner,为了自己的目标而努力。有的孩子希望通过努力让自己的成绩再上一个台阶，有的孩子希望自己能够在一学期内多读书，丰富自己的课外知识量，还有的孩子希望通过尝试之前不敢尝试的事情让自己变得更勇敢……望着一个个经过深思熟虑制定的目标，再望着孩子们那一双双明亮而又坚定的目光，相信通过努力，孩子们一定会更出色，更快乐，更强壮。

During the first class of the new semester, the children shared their holiday activities, and at the same time, they also completed a Goal Planner for this semester. Each child plans to work hard to achieve their goals. Some children hope to achieve higher scores and levels in their learning. Others hope to study more during the semester and enrich their extracurricular knowledge. A few others hope to try something they have never dared to try before in order to become brave… Look at the goals that have been carefully thought out, and look at the determination in the eyes of the children. I believe that through hard work, the children will be better, happier and stronger.

不仅如此，一份份孩子们精心完成的寒假作业也深深吸引着我们。擅长积累的同学，用清秀的笔迹将假期里收集的好词好句摘抄下来；

擅长写作的同学，更是用灵动而流利的英文记录了假期出游，与家人共度美好假期的温馨场景或将假期的所见所闻用E-mail的方式介绍给朋友；

擅长写写画画的同学，将生活中的数学知识编成了充满年味的绘本。

四年级的孩子利用假期沉浸于书香之中，在温润的春日掩映之下，尽显平淡天真。五年级的大哥哥大姐姐更是借着佳节的春风，为新春的古诗配上优雅清新的插图，真是趣味盎然……

再瞧瞧咱们低年级的孩子们，在假期里不忘阅读，用稚嫩的双手记录下了阅读点滴。外出购物时，将购物清单制作成海报，配上有趣的插图，真是充满了童趣。一件件优秀的作品，无不展示了孩子们的创意和个性色彩！

In addition, the children’s carefully completed winter vacation assignments also deeply attracted us. Students who are good at memorizing long passages and words used their best handwriting to create meaningful sentences from what they collected during the holidays. Students who are good at composing used fluent English to record their holiday travels of enjoyable times with their families as well as what they experienced. Students introduced their exciting holidays to friends by means of E-mail. The other students who are also good at writing and drawing compiled their real-world mathematics knowledge into a picture book full of imagination. The fourth-grade students used their holidays to immerse themselves in the pages of interesting books, and on the warm spring days, which are all plain and simple. Grade Five students used the spring breeze during the festival to match the elegant and fresh illustrations of the ancient poems of the New Year. They were really interesting… Let’s not forget the students in the lower grades. They also did a lot of reading during the holidays and recorded a lot of new vocabulary words. When they went shopping, they made their shopping lists into creative posters with interesting and childlike illustrations. Each piece of excellent work showed the children’s creativity and personality!

2019新学期伊始，让我们用勤奋和汗水，挥洒如火的热情，在春天播下期望的种子，等待着秋的收获。“捻花飘香，不负韶光”，在新学期共同演绎属于协和教育的美丽神话。

At the beginning of the new semester of 2019, let us incorporate the character traits of diligence to hard work, endless passion, revive our hope in spring, while patiently waiting for fruits of our labor in autumn. Throughout new semester, we are ready to create and explore the beautiful mystery of SUIS Education.
